Gardening Jobs for December
Winter is here, the days are short and the nights long. What precious daylight hours there have been recently have been wet, really wet, so any sunshine has been a welcome respite.
However there is still lots to do in the garden so pick your day and make the most of it!
Bulbs for spring, it's not to late!
Save seeds for next year
Kale, squash, leeks, salad
Make a wreath
Keep clearing leaves to make leaf
Cut back nerines
Prune buddlias by half their height
Remove yellow brussel sprout leaves
Cut down dahlias once flowering over to
lift or leave and mulch
Cut back tall asparagus foliage once
Lawns and ponds:
Raise the cutting height and only mow if required
Keep clearing leaves out of ponds
Light the fire, put your feet up and enjoy the new seed catalogues!
