Gardening jobs to do now: February


We know it's still cold but here are just some of the gardening tasks you or we could be doing now...so clear your head and get out into the garden. The Chichester Gardener is based in West Sussex so if you live a little further north you might have to delay a bit depending on the weather!

Crocus Gardener in Chichester

Prune wisteria

Cut back herbaceous perennials

Cut back cornus and salix

Prune and tidy up grasses

Lift and divide snowdrops

Force rhubarb

Mulch asparagus and artichokes

Chit potatoes

Prepare seed beds and borders

Prune apple and pear trees

Cut back autumn fruiting raspberries

Prune currants and gooseberries

Clean out the green house

Sow sweet peas

Enjoy seeing the bulbs poking though!
