Gardening jobs to do now: February
We know it's still cold but here are just some of the gardening tasks you or we could be doing now...so clear your head and get out into the garden. The Chichester Gardener is based in West Sussex so if you live a little further north you might have to delay a bit depending on the weather!
Cut back herbaceous perennials
Cut back cornus and salix
Prune and tidy up grasses
Lift and divide snowdrops
Mulch asparagus and artichokes
Prepare seed beds and borders
Prune apple and pear trees
Cut back autumn fruiting raspberries
Prune currants and gooseberries
Clean out the green house
Sow sweet peas
Enjoy seeing the bulbs poking though!
